About the Role
Fountain Tire is seeking a Tire Retread Technician for their London Retread Plant. This role involves inspecting, preparing, and inspecting tires for the retreading process.
Responsibilities
- Perform initial tire inspections to determine casing suitability for retreading and identify necessary repairs.
- Buff tire casings using automated equipment.
- Skive and/or section tires requiring repairs.
- Operate manual and computer-controlled equipment during the retreading process.
- Operate curing chambers and/or curing presses.
- Conduct final tire inspections.
Requirements
- Dedicated team player with a strong commitment to superior customer experience.
- Proven ability to work in a fast-paced and physical environment.
- Basic computer skills.
- Ability to consistently lift 50 plus pounds.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
