About the Role
The Portfolio Associate supports the creation and delivery of high-quality investment content, including investment updates, portfolio insights, and market analysis. This role combines technical investment understanding with strong communication skills to ensure messaging is clear, accurate, and aligned with delivering strong outcomes for advisers and investors.
Responsibilities
- Support the Portfolio Specialist and Distribution Team to aid adviser engagement
- Assist in preparing materials for client meetings, presentations, webinars, and events
- Respond to adviser queries in a timely, accurate, and insightful manner
- Contribute to providing investment insights that support advisers in client conversations
- Ensure materials are aligned to support business development and sales activity
- Assist in the production of regular investment updates (market commentary, portfolio positioning and performance messaging)
- Help translate investment concepts into clear, client-friendly language
- Support the development of high-quality investment content, including presentations, reports, articles, and digital materials
- Maintain consistency and accuracy of messaging across all materials
- Ensure content supports the commercial positioning of investment strategies
- Monitor market developments and contribute to internal and external commentary
- Support analysis of portfolio performance and positioning
- Conduct competitor and market research to showcase key advantages of our product range
- Help identify key themes and trends relevant to advisers and investors
- Build working relationships with distribution, investment and marketing teams
- Support alignment between investment views and external messaging
- Act as a point of coordination for information between teams
Requirements
- Keen interest in financial markets
- Undergraduate degree (or higher) is required
- Studying towards, or willingness to complete, IMC or equivalent qualification
- Understand the importance of accuracy and timeliness in supporting sales activity
- Experience in preparing reports, presentations and data analysis
- Occasional travel within the UK is expected
