About the Role

As an HR Business Partner at BD, you will work closely with leaders across Australia and New Zealand to support people decisions that directly impact performance, capability, and engagement. This role sits at the intersection of people strategy and day-to-day delivery within a fast-moving, sales-led environment.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with senior leaders to understand business priorities and translate them into practical HR plans and actions
  • Provide HR advice across employee relations, performance management, compensation, talent development, and change management
  • Coach and support managers to strengthen leadership capability, team effectiveness, and engagement
  • Analyze workforce and HR data to identify trends, inform decision-making, and measure the effectiveness of HR initiatives
  • Support organizational design, workforce planning, and change initiatives
  • Partner with Talent Acquisition to support recruitment and retention of key roles
  • Manage and resolve complex employee relations matters, including investigations where required
  • Drive implementation of HR policies, processes, and best practices, ensuring compliance with ANZ employment legislation
  • Champion BD’s culture and values, promoting inclusive and engaging workplace practices
  • Partner with regional and global HR teams to ensure consistency and alignment

Requirements

  • Solid experience in a business-facing HR role
  • Strong working knowledge of Australian and New Zealand employment legislation
  • Experience supporting commercial or sales-driven organisations (highly regarded)
  • A clear interest in workforce analytics and using data to guide decisions
  • Proven ability to build trusted relationships and influence at multiple levels
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills
  • Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience in MedTech, Pharma, or other healthcare sales environments is a bonus but not mandatory
  • Exposure to M&A or divestment activity is an advantage

Work Type

  • 12-month fixed-term contract
  • Hybrid working policy (3 days office)
