About the Role

Barnard College seeks a part-time instructor to teach an undergraduate course during the 2026-2027 academic year.

Responsibilities

  • Instruction of assigned classes.
  • Provide interim and final grades for enrolled students.
  • Be available to students through office hours (face to face or virtual).
  • Collaborate with faculty as necessary.
  • Be responsive to students and Chair/staff via email.

Requirements

  • MFA or PhD in Dance or appropriate related field from an Accredited College or University, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Experience in instructing in a professional setting.
  • CV
  • Statement of interest (including teaching philosophy, most relevant prior teaching experience, advanced pedagogical or relevant training)
  • Identify three references, including one with direct knowledge of their teaching capabilities (for finalists).
