About the Role
Summerhill Market is a boutique grocer seeking reliable, detail-oriented individuals to join their Forest Hill team. The role involves managing incoming deliveries, ensuring product quality, and maintaining organized storage areas.
Responsibilities
- Receive and verify incoming deliveries against invoices and purchase orders
- Inspect products for quality, accuracy, and proper temperatures
- Organize and store products in designated areas
- Ensure proper rotation of stock (FIFO) and maintain accurate inventory practices
- Communicate any discrepancies, damages, or shortages to leadership promptly
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe receiving and storage area
- Support the team with moving product to the floor or departments as needed
Requirements
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to lift and move heavy items (up to 50 lbs)
- Comfortable working in cooler and freezer environments
- Previous receiving, warehouse, or grocery experience is an asset
- A team player with a strong work ethic and sense of accountability
- Ability to work early mornings, weekends, and holidays as needed
