About the Role
Redpanda is seeking a people-oriented IT Engineer with a strong engineering mindset to join their global IT team. This role emphasizes leveraging technical skills to create automated processes and improve IT operations.
Responsibilities
- Drive frontline support, including triaging and resolving end-user issues.
- Support security and compliance efforts by managing detection and response across the security stack.
- Own new hire onboarding and hardware asset lifecycles.
- Manage Zoom Room AV systems and printer infrastructure.
- Support MDM operations, rollouts, and migrations.
- Maintain and troubleshoot collaboration and AI tools.
- Share responsibility for offboarding, asset management, and device deployment.
- Explore and leverage AI to improve operations and IT experiences.
- Create documentation and content for end-user guidance.
- Organize and document work for IT team coordination.
Requirements
- 2-4+ years of experience in a systems administrator or IT engineer role.
- Prior experience in an IT specialist, helpdesk, or desktop support role.
- Hands-on experience with MDM platforms (Kandji, InTune, or JumpCloud preferred).
- Experience with identity and access management, especially Okta.
- Experience working a helpdesk queue and owning tickets end-to-end.
- Experience configuring, troubleshooting, and managing collaboration tools.
- Experience managing and troubleshooting macOS, Windows, and Linux devices (Ubuntu and Fedora preferred).
- Experience configuring and monitoring endpoint security tools.
- Ability to work autonomously in a fully distributed environment.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
