About the Role
This role supports genome engineering and synthetic biology initiatives, contributing to cell therapy development and disease-modeling programs. The successful candidate will support the Advanced Cell Engineering Hub in engineering and profiling cells for cell therapy development and disease modeling.
Responsibilities
- Engineer mammalian cells (cancer cell lines, iPSCs, primary cells) using lentiviral/piggyBac systems and CRISPR gene editing
- Optimize transfection and gene-editing workflows
- Troubleshoot and refine cell engineering protocols
- Characterize engineered cells using molecular and genomic assays
- Maintain, monitor, and quality-check cell lines in culture
Requirements
- BS/MS + 5 years industry experience or PhD in Molecular Biology, Cell Biology, Genetics, or related field
- Strong hands-on mammalian cell culture experience
