About the Role
This is a full-time paid internship opportunity starting in June 2027 in our Ithaca, NY office. The program is designed to provide students with valuable experience and insight into the daily operations of a public accounting firm, preparing them for their future careers.
Responsibilities
- Train on and become proficient in audit software.
- Train on and become proficient with fixed asset and depreciation software.
- Gain a working knowledge of basic audit procedures and standard audit practices, focusing on nonprofit/town/county/school district audits.
- Gain a basic understanding of how audit work flows through the office.
- Gain exposure to dealing with client personnel.
- Improve basic organization and planning skills.
Requirements
- Currently enrolled in an undergraduate program (sophomore through senior year) or a graduate accounting degree program.
- Must be returning to school after the internship.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Functional knowledge of MS Office Suite, including Word and Excel.
- Ability to meet deadlines.
- Proactive attitude.
- Solid multi-tasking skills.
- Strong analytical ability.
