Responsibilities
- Operate Subarc draw-benches with reeler, speed feed drum, or stem winder unit.
- Change dies as required.
- Maintain copper coating solution and graphite solution at proper concentrations.
- Control the application of surface lubricant and/or graphite/alcohol.
- Service de-scaling brush units and maintain correct setup and operation of green rod offset de-scaler.
- Follow the drawing lubricant schedule.
- Report mechanical and electrical problems to the shift foreman.
- Palletize the finished product.
- Perform MIG Butt Welding as required.
- Review, understand, and follow departmental procedures, specifications, plant rules, and job hazard analysis.
- Abide by and support Lincoln Electric’s Environmental Health & Safety policies, practices, and procedures.
- Participate co-operatively within the company’s GPMP and Merit Rating System.
- Actively participate in meetings for effective teamwork, communication, and cooperation.
- Contribute to company profitability by implementing continuous improvement strategies.
- Conduct general duties, specific projects, and responsibilities as assigned by the Shift Foreman or Designate.
Requirements
- Read, write, and perform general math sufficient for job record-keeping.
- Understand and interpret job-related specifications and procedures.
- Self-motivated, safety and quality conscious, requiring minimal supervision.
- Mechanically inclined.
- Able to lift at least 60 pounds on a regular basis.
- Knowledge to use computers.
