About the Role

As an Inventory Control Clerk at Reliance, you will be an important team member, provided with the tools needed to succeed in an environment with ambitious growth plans. We offer limitless opportunities for growth and reward our team members for their success.

Responsibilities

  • Learn and grow as an important part of a team that cares about Reliance and its customers.
  • Protect warehouse inventory, both physical and in system, aiming for $0 inventory loss.
  • Maintain adequate inventory levels to ensure field sales and operations needs.
  • Coordinate with managers for timely procurement and distribution of inventory.
  • Monitor and optimize the inventory turnover ratio.
  • Stage or oversee the staging of daily equipment for installations.
  • Oversee or carry out the loading and unloading of inventory.
  • Ensure all inventory information is entered into the inventory tracking program.
  • Compile and complete purchase orders for new inventory.
  • Ensure scanning of all inventory into and out of the warehouse.
  • Act as the contact person for inbound warehouse requests from external departments.
  • Offer timely follow-up and resolution to customer, contractor, and external department inquiries.
  • Perform physical inventory and cycle counts and reconcile to systems.
  • Provide reporting as required.

Requirements

  • Previous warehouse and logistics experience.
  • Must possess excellent mathematical and analytical skill sets.
  • Proven written and verbal communication skills and negotiation skills.
  • Flexibility and adaptability; experience working in a dynamic and growing work environment.
  • Customer focused, skilled at interacting with both internal and external customers.
  • Exceptional organizational skills.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.
  • Related industry experience would be an asset.
  • Ability to multi-task.
  • Required to lift and maneuver supplies up to 75 lbs and over with the assistance of material handling equipment.
  • Must have a valid class G driver’s license.
