About the Role

As a Data Scientist/Engineer, you will solve complex business problems using Big Data, develop effective solutions, and bring machine learning models into production. You will work across the entire project lifecycle, from analyzing customer requirements and conducting Proof-of-Concepts to operationalizing models and supporting pre-sales activities.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze customer requirements and develop suitable solution approaches
  • Develop models, predictions, and algorithms using Python and PySpark
  • Conduct and evaluate Proof-of-Concepts
  • Operationalize solutions using Git, CI/CD, and Model Registry
  • Qualify technical tenders and support offer creation
  • Support new project acquisition and lead workshops
  • Identify optimization and business opportunities within ongoing projects
  • Communicate with both technical and business stakeholders
  • Lead sub-projects and manage tasks according to project requirements
  • Implement solution components and functional modules for data analytics architectures
  • Participate in conception, design, implementation, testing, and consulting

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent
  • Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in the field
  • Extensive knowledge of Python (pandas, numpy, scikit-learn, TensorFlow, Pytorch), PySpark, SQL, Databricks, Apache Spark, and Hadoop
  • Very good knowledge of MS Office products
  • Excellent communication skills in German and English
  • Strong teamwork, entrepreneurial thinking, independence, and motivation
