About the Role

Zello is seeking a Product Data Analyst to join the Data & AI team in Austin. This role is hands-on and AI-leveraged, focusing on turning data insights into actionable product development decisions for Zello's push-to-talk platform used by frontline workers.

Responsibilities

• Work with PMs, designers, and engineers to define product metrics, events, and success criteria.
• Design and execute A/B tests, including hypothesis scoping, power analysis, honest analysis, and clear recommendations.
• Perform funnel, retention, and cohort analysis using SQL and Python on Snowflake for mobile and web data.
• Build and manage AI-agent workflows to automate routine tasks and validate their output.
• Maintain core product dashboards in Omni to ensure timely data availability for the team.
• Translate analysis into clear, actionable stories and recommendations.

Requirements

• Proven experience owning A/B tests end-to-end with demonstrable impact on product decisions.
• Proficiency in writing advanced SQL against cloud warehouses.
• Experience using Python to enhance data analysis.
• Experience leveraging AI agents for routine analysis and validation.
• Ability to select appropriate analytical methods based on data.
• Capacity to build and pressure-test analyses to provide recommendations even with imperfect data.
• Strong collaboration skills, making work easier for PMs and designers.
• This role is not a dashboard or BI-reporting job.
• This role is not a data engineering or pipeline role.
• This is a senior individual contributor role, not a management role.
• Not suitable for individuals who require every query and metric to be provided.
