About the Role
As the data team's dedicated analytical partner for Marketing, your core job is to turn marketing data into decisions. You will own marketing attribution, ROI, and conversion analysis end to end, and proactively surface findings and opportunities. You will explore data, form hypotheses, and partner with Data and Analytics Engineers to shape necessary models and pipelines.
Responsibilities
- Drive marketing decisions with analysis.
- Own attribution, ROI, conversion, and funnel analysis.
- Diagnose drops and anomalies, quantify drivers, and translate findings into clear recommendations for marketing leaders.
- Optimize marketing spend by connecting spend to outcomes across channels and campaigns.
- Advise on where to invest, cut, or test next.
- Explore and correlate data to surface unsolicited insights.
- Anticipate the next question and bring opportunities to the marketing team proactively.
- Design and read out A/B tests and other experiments using sound statistical methods.
- Partner on the data foundation by working with Data Engineers and Analytics Engineers to ingest and model marketing data.
- Define requirements, explore raw data, and contribute to data models connecting marketing, sales, and product data.
- Communicate insights to non-technical stakeholders for action.
- Document context, caveats, and decisions for knowledge transfer.
Requirements
- Strong analytical track record with measurable influence on business or marketing decisions.
- Comfort with the latest AI tools for analysis, coding, and insight acceleration.
- Eagerness to develop skills, seek feedback, and embrace new tools and methods.
- Solid SQL proficiency for independent data querying and exploration.
- Proficiency in Python for analysis, modeling, and automation.
- Statistical foundation including experimentation, significance testing, regression, segmentation, and forecasting.
- Working knowledge of marketing and GTM data, including channels, campaigns, attribution models, and funnel/conversion metrics.
- Ability to connect marketing data with CRM/sales and product usage data.
- Willingness to get hands-on with data modeling, explore messy data, and partner on building necessary models.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, including respectfully challenging weak measurement and making recommendations.
- Proactivity and autonomy in raising hands early, planning work, and seeking impact.
