About the Role
The Senior Manager, Brand Communications will create and support the implementation of the Brand communications strategy. This strategy involves developing strong relationships with partners to build and protect the reputation of sector brands.
Responsibilities
- Create integrated communication / Brand PR strategies and plans that generate earned awareness and advocacy.
- Own the execution of communication plans & events.
- Build, maintain, and leverage superior stakeholder relationships both internally and externally.
- Lead the planning and execution of influencer engagements and events.
- Lead risk assessment, including handling brand issues and crisis communication.
- Lead social engagement strategies and community management.
- Produce compelling content that influences opinion and drives action in support of the brands.
- Handle and develop Brand PR agencies.
- Act as a strategic counsel and leader for the multifunctional team.
Requirements
- Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident, or New Zealand Citizen.
- Minimum 6 years of experience in Communications/Brand PR.
- Strong Communications skills and management of external partner relations.
- Experience in influencer-inspired credentialing and equity building PR programs.
- Demonstrate strategic leadership and Accountability.
- Excellent understanding of the needs of both external influencers and internal business partners.
- Build plans and communication tools to meet these needs.
- Experience in Issues and Crisis Management and Influencer Communication is an advantage.
- Ability to identify external opportunities and work with a diverse mix of influencers.
- Considerable agility and flexibility due to managing multiple projects simultaneously and dependence on current events.
