About the Role
We are seeking a Team Lead International Student Recruitment / Head of International Sales to lead our International Sales Team at our Berlin location. This role is full-time, permanent, and starts immediately. You will be responsible for achieving recruitment targets, leading the International Sales Recruiter Team and Contact Center, and ensuring timely contact and qualification of international leads.
Responsibilities
- Responsibility for achieving the recruitment goals and results of the International Sales (Direct Sales) department according to the defined criteria.
- Professional and disciplinary leadership of the International Sales Recruiter Team and the Contact Center, including all personnel and administrative tasks, with the goal of increasing the number of international students and ensuring that new international leads are contacted, qualified, and converted into applications in a timely manner.
- Ensuring the achievement of defined KPIs through the introduction and continuous application of suitable KPI tracking.
- Analysis and solution of operational challenges, as well as continuous development and optimization of processes in lead and application management throughout the entire academic year.
- Ensuring that the team processes applications within the deadlines and according to current priorities for regions and study programs until the contract is concluded.
- Proactive and responsible interface function to the most important internal stakeholders, especially in day-to-day operations.
- Creation of daily and weekly reports for the analysis of lead, application, and enrollment pipelines.
- Derivation of well-founded recommendations for action and implementation of strategic control measures based on the analysis results.
- Participation in recruiting events such as education fairs, as well as meetings with prospective students and international partner agencies.
Requirements
- Completed university degree (Master's or comparable) in a relevant field, e.g., Intercultural Communication, International Business, Educational Management, or Management.
- Several years of professional experience in sales, ideally in value-based sales.
- Relevant experience in a comparable leadership position, preferably in the field of international higher education.
- Proactive, self-responsible personality with a strong ability to work independently.
- Excellent presentation and communication skills, as well as the ability to act confidently even under high workload.
- Strong sales orientation and the ambition to achieve or exceed defined goals.
- High customer orientation, intercultural competence, and a strong service mentality.
- Knowledge of the German higher education market and admission/application procedures is an advantage.
- Very good English and German language skills (C1) are mandatory; further foreign languages (e.g., Spanish, French, Arabic, or Hindi) are desirable.
- Confident use of Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint, as well as experience with CRM systems, ideally Salesforce.
- Basic knowledge of accounting and a good understanding of statistical analysis and confident handling of numbers.
- Willingness to undertake international business trips, especially during the spring and autumn seasons.
