About the Role

The Data Analyst assists with the management, cleaning, integration, and analysis of public health and nutrition research data. This role supports statistical analyses, maintains data integrity, documents analytical methods, and prepares reports for management.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the design, implementation, and management of data analysis workflows for research projects.
  • Support the review and documentation of data structures.
  • Implement established statistical models and methodologies.
  • Organize, format, and evaluate research data including dietary intake and accelerometry.
  • Support the preparation of statistical analysis plans and conduct preliminary data reviews.
  • Maintain data collection systems through data entry, programming forms, and routine cleaning.
  • Acquire, clean, merge, and manage research data from secondary sources.
  • Document data management and analysis procedures.
  • Draft reports, organize tables and figures, and assemble written descriptions for manuscripts and presentations.
  • Provide technical and administrative support for data sharing and grant proposal assembly.
  • Perform related duties to support research and administrative activities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as epidemiology, public health, biostatistics, nutrition, or statistics.
  • At least 2 years of professional experience in data collection and analysis.
  • Direct experience with statistical modeling and research datasets.
  • Proficiency in statistical programming languages and data visualization tools.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to organize tasks and prioritize work.
  • Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others.
