About the Role
This is a Computer Field Technician Position focused on hardware repairs and installations for laptop and desktop units. Success in this role requires prior experience with computer hardware and a willingness to travel locally to customer sites.
Responsibilities
- Complete on-site hardware warranty services.
- Perform hardware repairs and installations on laptop and desktop units.
- Confirm service times with the customer via the tech portal.
- Pick up parts daily from the assigned Fed Ex or UPS store.
- Drop off old parts with the provided pre-paid label after completing calls.
- Log into the tech portal each morning by 9 am to code calls and map routes.
- Complete online certifications from Dell and Lenovo during onboarding.
Requirements
- Prior hands-on experience with replacing components on laptops and desktops.
- Valid driver's license.
- Reliable transportation.
- Comfortable with daily local travel.
- Access to a computer and the Internet.
- Regularly available a minimum of 3 weekdays for daytime shifts.
