About the Role

Support the Monitoring & Analysis team organizationally and technically, integrating various data sources, developing and automating ETL pipelines using Python and SQL, and providing first-level support for the OBELIS online platform.

Responsibilities

• Support the integration of various data sources (web scraping, data cleaning, APIs, Docker, etc.).
• Support the development and automation of ETL pipelines using Python and SQL.
• Support users with first-level support for the OBELIS online platform.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a Master's degree in Computer Science, Geoinformatics, Natural Sciences, Engineering, or a comparable field.
• Possess programming knowledge in Python (e.g., pandas, matplotlib, plotly, scikit-learn, geopy, geopandas).
• Interest in gaining practical experience with version control (Git), databases (Redshift, Athena), data architectures, and data processing.
• Structured, reliable, and independent work style.
• Interest in cloud-based IT architectures (e.g., AWS) and ideally some prior experience.
• German language skills at a minimum B2 level.
