About the Role
The Business Manager to the CFO will support the smooth running of the CFO Office, playing a central role in driving execution across the Finance function. This role involves coordinating priorities, supporting strategic delivery, and ensuring effective governance in a fast-paced, regulated environment. The Business Manager will act as a key link between the CFO, CEO Office, and senior stakeholders, combining strategic insight with hands-on operational support.
Responsibilities
- Translate finance strategy into clear actions, track delivery, and highlight risks and dependencies.
- Provide high-quality support to the CFO, including briefings, presentations, and decision-making materials.
- Act as a key liaison across Finance, the Executive team, and the wider business.
- Support committees, manage actions, and maintain risk, audit, and regulatory logs.
- Oversee diary, priorities, and meeting cadence to enable effective time management.
- Assist with planning cycles, performance reviews, and key finance initiatives.
- Work closely with the CEO Chief of Staff, Office Manager, and HR on cross-functional priorities.
- Coordinate meetings, offsites, and executive-level engagements.
Requirements
- Experience in a Business Manager, Chief of Staff, or senior EA role, ideally within Finance or a CFO Office.
- Background in banking or regulated financial services (FCA/PRA exposure preferred).
- Strong understanding of governance, committees, and senior stakeholder environments.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.
- Confident communicator with experience producing executive-level materials and insights.
- High attention to detail with sound judgement and discretion.
- Proactive, resilient, and solutions-focused, with the ability to influence and challenge constructively.
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills, particularly PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, and Teams.
