About the Role
This role involves analyzing and overseeing real estate, real estate debt, and mezzanine investments throughout their entire lifecycle. You will manage and monitor real estate mezzanine investments, including active management of workout situations and restructuring measures. The position requires creating and maintaining financial models for investment property valuation, cash flow analysis, and scenario calculations. You will also conduct market, location, and property analyses, along with competitor monitoring in the real estate and real estate debt sectors. Additionally, you will prepare investment memos, decision papers, and presentations for internal committees and investors, and collaborate on the review and management of real estate development projects and the fundamentals of building law creation. Close cooperation and coordination with the Asset Management, Fund Management, and Legal departments are essential.
Responsibilities
- Analyze and review real estate, real estate debt, and mezzanine investments throughout the entire investment cycle.
- Accompany and monitor real estate mezzanine investments, including active management of workout situations and restructuring measures.
- Create and maintain financial models (Excel Modelling) for investment property valuation, cash flow analysis, and scenario calculations.
- Conduct market, location, and property analyses, as well as competitor monitoring in the real estate & real estate debt sector.
- Develop investment memos, decision papers, and presentations for internal committees and investors.
- Participate in the review and support of real estate development projects and the fundamentals of building law creation.
- Collaborate closely and coordinate with the Asset Management, Fund Management, and Legal departments.
Requirements
- Completed degree in Business Administration, Finance, Real Estate, Mathematical Economics, or a comparable field.
- Minimum of 2 years of professional experience in Real Estate, Real Estate Debt, or Mezzanine Capital, ideally with a real estate investment manager, bank, or credit fund.
- Sound knowledge in structuring and analyzing real estate financing, ideally with a development focus, and in handling workout and restructuring situations.
- Very good Excel skills and experience in Financial Modelling (cash flow models, sensitivity analyses, waterfall structures).
- Knowledge in Real Estate Development and fundamentals of building law creation is desirable.
- Analytical thinking, structured and precise working methods, and a strong affinity for numbers.
- Independent, performance-oriented personality with entrepreneurial thinking and a feel for opportunities.
- Professional, likeable, and credible demeanor towards business partners and colleagues.
- Very good German and good English language skills, both written and spoken.
- Proficient in MS Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
