About the Role
The Food & Beverage Manager – Events & Conferencing is responsible for the strategic direction and operational execution of the Events function at Crown Sydney. This role oversees high-volume event operations, driving financial performance, service excellence and team engagement. You’ll play a key role in shaping the broader F&B strategy, implementing business plans and creating an industry-leading events and conference operation aligned with Crown’s vision and service values.
Responsibilities
- Leading the end-to-end Events operation, delivering exceptional and seamless guest experiences
- Driving financial performance through P&L management, forecasting, and performance metrics
- Building, mentoring and empowering teams to create a high-performance, feedback-driven culture
- Championing Crown’s service values across all outlets and touchpoints
- Partnering with Sales and broader F&B teams to deliver cohesive and innovative event experiences
- Identifying opportunities to grow revenue and enhance customer engagement
- Ensuring compliance with all regulatory, safety and operational standards
- Embedding a culture of accountability, inclusion and continuous improvement
Requirements
- Proven experience within the events and conference or large-scale hospitality industry
- Senior management experience in a premium or luxury environment
- Strong leadership capability with a demonstrated ability to coach, mentor and develop high-performing teams
- Commercially astute with strong business acumen and a track record of delivering results
- Strong communication skills with the ability to influence and collaborate across stakeholders
- Ability to drive performance, manage complexity and lead in a fast-paced environment
- Extensive experience in events, conferencing or large-scale hospitality operations
- Background in premium, luxury or complex environments highly regarded
- Proven ability to lead diverse teams and foster strong team culture and engagement
- Strong financial and commercial acumen, including experience managing budgets and KPIs
- Ability to influence, collaborate and build effective stakeholder relationships
- High energy, professionalism and a passion for delivering exceptional guest experiences
