About the Role

Lead technical workstreams for Day 1 readiness and integration following Lyft's acquisition of Freenow. This high-stakes, high-visibility role reports into the EU Tech Leader and offers direct exposure to Freenow and Lyft leadership.

Responsibilities

  • Own the end-to-end technical readiness plan between signing and closing, defining "ready" and tracking workstreams.
  • Coordinate IT and workplace cutover, including identity and system access, hardware provisioning, and office setup.
  • Partner with Security and Legal to ensure the technical environment meets shareholder requirements on Day 1.
  • Stand up technical integration workstreams between Freenow and Lyft.
  • Orchestrate IT, SRE, Infrastructure, Platform, Product Engineering, Data, Security, People, Legal, and Finance on a single plan.
  • Produce the technical readiness narrative for Freenow and Lyft leadership and the integration steering committee.
  • Codify learnings into a repeatable M&A integration playbook for future acquisitions.

Requirements

  • Significant TPM, engineering management, or M&A integration experience with a track record of delivering on M&A separation, integration, or carve-out programs, ideally including a Day 1 cutover.
  • Strong technical foundation in software engineering or infrastructure, with the ability to credibly participate in architecture reviews and understand large-scale production systems.
  • Working knowledge of enterprise IT and corporate engineering, including identity providers, SSO, MDM, endpoint management, networking, VPN, SaaS provisioning, CI/CD tooling, and cloud account structures.
  • Comfort operating in extreme ambiguity across multiple jurisdictions, time zones, and corporate cultures.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication in English, with the ability to adjust communication style for different audiences.
  • Ability to influence without authority and gain commitment from senior stakeholders in a matrixed environment.
  • Calm demeanor under pressure, maintaining structure for oneself and others during M&A timelines, regulatory inquiries, or system failures.
  • Previous experience inside a regulated business (mobility, fintech, payments) or working through a change-of-control event is a plus.
  • Familiarity with the German labor and works council context is a plus.
  • Exposure to both acquirer-side and target-side integration work is a plus.
