About the Role

As part of the 'Horizont' project in Spandau, you will provide psychological support to young people, working closely with the social work team to guide them through crises and turning points. Your expertise will create an environment for change.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual psychological support to restore readiness and motivation.
• Clarify therapeutic needs and establish contact with therapy facilities and specialists.
• Support the initiation of further medical measures.
• Offer stress and conflict management techniques and relaxation exercises.
• Conduct weekly workshops on healthy living and addiction prevention in small groups.
• Provide specialized support and collegial training to social work staff.
• Collaborate with treating therapists and specialized facilities.
• Conduct joint competency assessments with participants in close coordination with social work.

Requirements

• University degree in Psychology (Diploma or Master's).
• Alternatively, other degrees with a focus on Psychology or Psychotherapy, or further training as a social therapist or child and adolescent therapist.
• At least one year of professional experience (entry-level candidates welcome with guaranteed mentoring).

Skills

• Experience or interest in working with young people with complex psychosocial burdens.
• Ability to work in a low-threshold and relationship-oriented manner.
• Team orientation and enjoyment of interprofessional collaboration.
• Sensitivity in dealing with issues of addiction, trauma, and mental illness.
