About the Role
OSAN Ability (Hornsby Branch) is seeking compassionate and dedicated Bilingual Support Workers to support elderly clients and NDIS participants. This role offers flexible working arrangements and the opportunity to promote independence, dignity, and wellbeing through person-centred care.
Responsibilities
- Provide person-centred home care and disability support services.
- Assist clients with personal care tasks, including showering, grooming, dressing, and hygiene support.
- Perform light domestic assistance, including cleaning, laundry, and household organisation.
- Prepare meals tailored to client preferences and dietary requirements, including traditional Chinese meals when required.
- Provide transport assistance using your own reliable vehicle.
- Support clients to attend medical appointments, shopping trips, social activities, and community outings.
- Deliver companionship and emotional support to promote social connection and wellbeing.
- Maintain accurate records and communicate effectively with care coordinators and management.
- Promote client independence while ensuring their safety and comfort at all times.
- Work independently across multiple client locations throughout the Hornsby and Upper North Shore region.
Requirements
- Fluent Mandarin language skills and effective functional English communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and relationship-building skills.
- Compassionate, reliable, and professional approach to client care.
- Ability to work independently while travelling between client locations.
- Certificate III in Individual Support, Disability, Aged Care, or equivalent qualification; or Relevant industry experience; or Currently undertaking advanced studies in a related field.
- Current Working with Children Check (WWCC).
- Current Australian Driver's Licence.
- Reliable, insured private vehicle (essential).
- Current First Aid and CPR Certificate.
- Current National Police Check.
- Valid Australian working rights.
- Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.

Salary/Compensations
- $34.00 – $43.00 per hour
- Weekend penalty rates in accordance with the SCHADS Award
