About the Role
Rakuten Mobile is innovating in the fully virtualized mobile network space, aiming to support the realization of innovations in mobile communications, including 6G. This role involves planning R&D projects, collaborating with various stakeholders, and supporting cutting-edge research and development from technical, management, and operational perspectives.
Responsibilities
- Plan and consolidate technical requirements for government-funded projects in NW/APN/RAN/OSS/Cloud/AI.
- Investigate the latest 6G trends and provide technical support for 6G commercialization.
- Engage in technical negotiations and coordinate specifications with other operators and government agencies.
- Create technical proposals for project initiation.
- Manage projects, including resolving technical challenges.
- Report project outcomes and progress to government agencies and stakeholders.
Requirements
- Over 5 years of practical experience in NW/APN/RAN/OSS/Cloud/AI within the IT/telecom industry.
- Over 3 years of practical experience in government-funded projects.
- Communication skills for negotiation and coordination with internal and external stakeholders.
- TOEIC score of 600 or equivalent English proficiency.
- Native-level Japanese proficiency.
