About the Role

Lead the transformation of Zip's global FP&A function through AI automation, bringing deep FP&A expertise, executive presence, and a passion for transforming finance functions in a fast-paced ASX-listed environment.

Responsibilities

  • Act as the trusted deputy to the Director, Group FP&A, representing the function with delegated authority across Executive forums and strategic initiatives.
  • Partner closely with the Global CFO, CEO and senior leaders, delivering Board ready insights, commercial recommendations and data backed perspectives that support informed decision making.
  • Strengthen Group strategy through market benchmarking, peer analysis and commercial insights that help Zip identify opportunities, navigate challenges and maintain a competitive edge.
  • Lead the transformation of Group FP&A by redesigning legacy processes into scalable, automated and future ready ways of working.
  • Drive the standardisation of Finance reporting across Zip, creating consistent Board papers, budget packs, forecasts and reporting that reflect one Zip voice.
  • Champion an AI first approach by embedding modern technologies, including LLMs and automation, while partnering with Finance Systems to evolve FP&A platforms and deliver real time, high quality reporting.
  • Lead the Group budgeting, forecasting and long term planning cycles, providing clear governance, timelines and direction to finance teams across the business.
  • Own the integrity of Group consolidation and Executive reporting, delivering accurate, timely and meaningful insights for Executive Leadership, the Board and external markets.
  • Develop strategic financial models and commercial analysis that support business performance, investment decisions and future growth opportunities.
  • Maintain a strong financial control environment, ensuring compliance with reporting standards, governance requirements and best practice financial management.
  • Oversee planning and forecasting for Corporate functions, providing commercial guidance that supports strategic priorities and organisational performance.
  • Partner closely with Treasury, Tax and Finance leaders to align planning across capital management, cash flow and broader business objectives.
  • Foster an inclusive, high performing team culture where collaboration, open dialogue and psychological safety enable everyone to do their best work.
  • Coach and mentor finance professionals across the organisation, supporting capability development, knowledge sharing and continuous growth.
  • Lead by example through Zip's values of Customer First, Own It, Stronger Together and Change the Game, while embracing AI, innovation and continuous improvement.

Requirements

  • 8+ years' experience in Financial Planning & Analysis within a fast paced, multinational organisation.
  • Demonstrated experience transforming finance functions and building scalable planning, reporting and forecasting capabilities.
  • Strong understanding of financial governance, reporting controls and ASX listed or regulated environments.
  • CA or CPA qualification.
  • Experience presenting complex financial insights to Executive Leadership Teams, Boards or senior stakeholders with confidence and influence.
  • Strong commercial acumen with the ability to translate complex financial data into clear strategic recommendations.
  • Experience leveraging modern technologies including Power BI, Python, LLMs and enterprise planning platforms such as Calumo to improve finance outcomes.
  • Experience working with enterprise ERP and Business Intelligence platforms.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills across geographically dispersed teams.
  • Comfortable working through ambiguity while leading change and influencing outcomes across a complex organisation.
  • A mindset that embraces AI and new tools to adapt, learn and grow.
  • An aptitude for identifying and managing risks.
