About the Role

Kyndryl Japan is seeking an IT Specialist with expertise in cloud migration and modernization. This role is crucial for transitioning on-premises systems to cloud environments and modernizing systems using the latest technologies. The ideal candidate will leverage a broad range of technical skills and experience to provide optimal cloud solutions and support client business objectives.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute system migration plans from on-premises to cloud (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Design, build, and manage cloud environments.
• Modernize applications using cloud-native technologies and containerization.
• Conduct requirement definitions and technical feasibility studies with clients.
• Assess migration risks and implement security measures.
• Support project management and collaborate with stakeholders.
• Develop tools and scripts to promote automation and efficiency.
• Create technical documentation and provide technical guidance to team members.

Requirements

• Deep expertise in a specific technical field (e.g., software development, cloud computing, system engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics).
• Experience with enterprise IT applications.
• Hands-on experience with on-premises systems or cloud platforms (AWS or Azure or GCP).
• Experience in system migration and infrastructure modernization projects.
• Deep understanding of cloud architecture, networks, and security.
• Teamwork and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent communication skills in Japanese (native or fluent conversational, reading, and writing - N1 or equivalent).
• Basic English proficiency.
• Hands-on experience in one of the following: software development, DevOps engineering, system administration, or system architecture in a public cloud AWS domain.
• Deep knowledge of Windows and Linux operating systems.
• Experience driving engineering solutions and working across teams.
• Extensive experience and judgment in planning and achieving goals.
• Experience applying general rules to specific problems to derive conclusions or answers.
• Extensive process improvement experience.
