About the Role

ESPN is seeking an experienced Marketing Manager for a 12-month fixed-term maternity cover role to lead marketing strategy and execution across Australia and New Zealand. This position is key to growing ESPN's brand, audience engagement, and consumer-facing platforms through integrated marketing campaigns across broadcast, streaming, digital, and social channels.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the ESPN brand and marketing strategy across Australia and New Zealand.
  • Plan and execute multi-platform campaigns across TV, digital, social, streaming and partner channels.
  • Partner with Disney+ Marketing to support ESPN on Disney+ campaigns, key sports moments and new rights launches.
  • Manage ESPN Australia/New Zealand’s social media strategy to grow reach, engagement and audience connection.
  • Collaborate with editorial, sales, programming, research, creative, finance, international marketing and agency partners.
  • Build strong relationships with affiliates, sports leagues, rights partners and external suppliers.
  • Oversee marketing budgets, vendor management, reporting and campaign optimisation.

Requirements

  • 8+ years’ relevant marketing experience, ideally within media, entertainment, sport, digital or consumer brands.
  • Strong experience developing and delivering ATL, digital, social and integrated marketing campaigns.
  • A confident stakeholder manager who can influence and collaborate across local, regional and international teams.
  • Strong creative judgement, communication skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • A passion for sport, media and entertainment, with strong awareness of the Australian and New Zealand sports landscape.
  • Experience managing budgets, agencies, suppliers and campaign reporting.
