About the Role
The Product Manager for AV Solutions will own and grow a portfolio of AV connectivity hardware, including cables, extenders, switches, splitters, and AV-over-IP hardware. This role focuses on defining product strategy, managing the product lifecycle, enabling sales, and ensuring architectural value and system reliability within the Pro AV and IT infrastructure space.
Responsibilities
- Manage the end-to-end lifecycle of AV connectivity product lines from concept to end-of-life.
- Define product segmentation between architecture and commodity SKUs.
- Develop value propositions tailored to Corporate, Education, Healthcare, and Industrial verticals.
- Build product roadmaps aligned with market transitions.
- Analyze competitors and identify displacement opportunities.
- Track industry standards and technologies including HDMI, DisplayPort, USB-C/USB4, HDBaseT, fiber, SDVoE, Dante AV, and IPMX.
- Translate market trends into actionable product requirements.
- Define and document product behavior under load and failure modes.
- Partner with manufacturing and QA to create interoperability matrices.
- Ensure product performance in mixed-vendor environments.
- Create sales tools including battlecards, positioning briefs, and presentations.
- Train sales and channel partners on product positioning.
- Support key customer and integrator engagements as the product authority.
- Act as the primary liaison between Manufacturing, Sales, Marketing, Operations, and Support.
- Drive requirements clarity and prioritize features based on customer impact.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
- Minimum of three years of experience in Product Management or a related field.
- Experience in Pro AV, AV connectivity, networking hardware, or adjacent infrastructure markets.
- Must be located within a 50-mile radius of Woodridge, IL or Raleigh, NC.
- Ability to travel up to 25%.
- Must be authorized to work in the US without immigration sponsorship.
