About the Role

This position is for our afternoon/lunch shift, requiring a self-starting personality with an even disposition and the ability to maintain a professional appearance and manner at all times. The role involves ensuring guest satisfaction through friendly and courteous service, accurate order taking, and efficient delivery of food and beverages. A key aspect is contributing to a fun, energized, and comfortable working environment as an active member of the team.

Responsibilities

  • Check station for proper set-up and cleanliness before, during, and after shift.
  • Greet guests warmly and explain specials and promotions.
  • Record and confirm guest orders for accuracy.
  • Input orders into the POS system.
  • Retrieve, confirm, and deliver orders to guests.
  • Serve alcoholic beverages in compliance with all regulations.
  • Replenish beverages and ensure guest satisfaction.
  • Market and serve dessert items and specialty coffees upon request.
  • Process checks using POS system.
  • Communicate effectively with kitchen staff regarding orders and guest needs.
  • Clear, bus, and reset tables.
  • Comply with cash handling and house bank policies.
  • Present checks to guests promptly.
  • Maintain cleanliness and condition of the bar and surroundings.
  • Contribute to a positive working environment.
  • Comply with attendance rules and be available to work regularly.
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
  • Participate in food preparation, heating, or serving.
  • Maintain cleanliness of the outlet.
  • Perform side work duties or special projects.

Requirements

  • Must have the ability to communicate in English.
  • Must be willing to pitch-in and help co-workers.
  • Must have basic knowledge of food and beverage preparation, service standards, guest relations, and etiquette.
  • Knowledge of appropriate table settings, service ware, and menu items.
  • Ability to remember, recite, and promote menu items.
  • Ability to operate beverage and toast equipment.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with associates, customers, and patrons.
  • Ability to operate a keyboard and learn point of sale procedures.
