About the Role

Forbes Advisor Creative Strategy Team seeks a Freelance Video Editor for a high-volume, short-form social content operation. This role focuses on creating platform-native content with strong pacing, hooks, retention, and storytelling for social-first environments. The ideal candidate is comfortable in a collaborative, iterative workflow where creative is regularly tested and refined, valuing consistency and responsiveness over polished editing.

Responsibilities

Support growing short-form content operation on an ongoing retainer basis.
Create platform-native content with strong pacing, hooks, retention, and storytelling instincts for social-first environments.
Work in a collaborative, iterative workflow where creative is regularly tested and refined.
Produce approximately 4 batches of content per week, with each batch containing roughly 5 short-form edits (around 30 seconds each).

Requirements

5+ years of professional video editing experience.
Strong experience editing for Meta (Facebook / Instagram), TikTok, and other short-form social platforms.
Strong understanding of hooks and retention, platform-native pacing, captions/subtitles, UGC-style editing, social-first storytelling, and creative testing workflows.
Experience working with performance marketing or direct-response creative is a plus.
Comfort experimenting with emerging AI creative tools and workflows.
