About the Role
ERA’s Communications Internship program is designed to help social-justice minded, creative, and social media-savvy college and graduate students gain knowledge and experience in pursuit of a career in nonprofit communications, digital marketing, social media, and content creation. We are seeking to host two Communications Interns in the Fall 2026 semester (September-December).
Responsibilities
- Learn from, shadow, and collaborate on projects with ERA’s Strategic Communications Team.
- Develop social media content.
- Create and edit video content.
- Engage in graphic design.
- Monitor digital marketing trends.
- Collect and analyze digital communications data.
- Develop communications campaign strategies.
- Provide event planning and support.
- Draft copy for digital and marketing platforms.
- Engage in narrative shifting through community storytelling.
Requirements
- Preference will be given to undergraduate students planning to pursue a career in nonprofit work, public policy, or public service.
- Must be at least 18 years old and have a strong interest in pursuing a career in nonprofit communications.
- Demonstrated interest in and commitment to civil rights, gender equity, and social justice.
- Strong written communication skills are required.
- Good organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
- Ability to work well collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Must submit a Résumé and Cover Letter by July 25, 2026.
- Cover Letter should detail academic pursuits, interest in the internship, and alignment with ERA's work and mission.
