About the Role

This locum physician role requires a proficient practitioner to provide comprehensive general surgery and endoscopic services in a rural community setting, covering two specific periods from late 2024 through early 2027.

Responsibilities

• Conduct initial consultations for general surgery concerns
• Execute minor procedures
• Provide patient and family education and counseling
• Order diagnostic tests and facilitate specialist referrals
• Coordinate care with primary care providers
• Perform a wide range of operative and endoscopic procedures including colonoscopies, EGDs, hernia repairs, and breast surgeries

Requirements

• Minimum of 100 colonoscopies performed in the last 12 months
• Minimum of 20 polypectomies performed in the last 12 months
• Minimum of 25 EGDs performed in the last 12 months
• Commitment to cover both specified date ranges
