About the Role
The YOTEL San Francisco is hiring a Cabin Crew Attendant to serve guests with creativity and passion in one of the city's historic buildings.
Responsibilities
- Retrieve items from shelves and storerooms, and set up cleaning carts with supplies, maintaining carts and storerooms in a clean and orderly fashion.
- Clean and wipe windows, doors, walls, closets, and fixtures in rooms, public areas, and hallways.
- Wash shower walls and tubs, clean toilets and stall walls, wipe exposed pipes, and clean mirrors, sinks, and walls.
- Replace towels, soaps, and all room amenities and restock literature.
- Wash all hard floor areas by hand to remove dirt and soiled areas.
- Dust and polish all furniture, fixtures, and wall hangings, including using a duster to reach vents and ceiling corners.
- Strip beds of all linen and remake with fresh, checking bedspreads, blankets, and bed pads for cleanliness.
- Lift mattresses to check for soil between mattresses and under the bed.
- Check closets for cleanliness, wipe closet doors, handles, and overhead shelves, and restock guest room supplies.
- Vacuum rooms, public areas, and hallways, operating vacuums and lifting/moving furniture.
- Inspect all door and window locks to ensure they are in working order and alert management to any unsecured or unsafe situations.
- Inspect all room equipment to ensure proper working order and report all room status and maintenance deficiencies.
- Secure and maintain custody of equipment, keys, and supplies at all times.
- Maintain a friendly, cheerful, and courteous demeanor at all times.
- Perform other duties as assigned, requested, or deemed necessary by management.
Requirements
- Must have basic knowledge of general cleaning principles, use of cleaning products, and operation of standard cleaning equipment.
- Must be able to understand and follow verbal/written instructions and communicate both verbally and in writing.
- Must be able to lift up to 50lbs. continually throughout a shift.
- Must be able to push, pull, and move levers, equipment, and furniture throughout a shift.
- Must be able to work with arms raised above head throughout a shift.
- Must be able to maneuver a fully loaded maid cart, weighing up to 50lbs., through hallways and into/out of closets during the entire workday.
- Ability to identify minute debris and dirt in poorly lit areas.
- Ability to read written instructions and computer print-outs.
