About the Role
Resource Label Group is seeking a 2nd Shift Finishing Operator to join their team. This role focuses on the setup and operation of commercial label inspector machines, including visual quality control, and operating equipment to slit printed material into specified widths. The position reports to the Finishing Supervisor.
Responsibilities
- Receive job assignments from Finishing Supervisor or Team Lead; read job specifications and select correct cores and rewind method for job.
- Review job jacket to ensure all finishing, packaging, and shipping specifications are addressed.
- Inspect products for quality integrity and package products.
- Observe flow of material through machine to detect irregular cutting and winding.
- Ensure quality of work, including color, size, die cut, perforations, print, and quantity of packaged items being shipped.
- Assist in cutting, collating, wrapping, and packaging of converting jobs.
- Perform preventative maintenance on machines.
- Remove or replace blades on inspection machines.
- Complete paperwork for each job and package finished goods for shipment to customer.
- Keep work areas clear and organized; maintain housekeeping standards.
Requirements
- Basic mathematical skills, including the ability to read a ruler.
- Basic computer skills.
