About the Role

Responsibilities

  • Create mechanical models and CAD drawings for new and existing products
  • Prepare detailed, production-quality CAD drawings and review for accuracy
  • Calculate tolerance stack-ups for sub-assemblies and assemblies
  • Apply design-for-assembly principles and cost considerations
  • Conduct Design Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (DFMEA)
  • Ensure designs adhere to internal and global standards
  • Collaborate with product teams and manufacturing personnel to resolve design challenges
  • Liaise with suppliers and regulatory bodies for product certifications
  • Engage with sales and customer service to address customer needs
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation for product designs
  • Contribute to process improvements and design efficiency

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering
  • 2-3 years of experience as a Mechanical Design Engineer
  • Knowledge of GD&T standards
  • Proficiency in SolidWorks 3D, AutoCAD, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Strong problem-solving, critical thinking, and analytical skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively
  • Flexibility for off-site assignments, lab work, and field visits
  • Willingness to travel, including potential international travel
