About the Role
The BIM Coordinator supports multidisciplinary project teams in a dynamic architecture and engineering environment, ensuring BIM models are accurate, coordinated, and aligned for efficient project delivery.
Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and coordinate BIM models across active projects.
- Support model setup, auditing, and overall model health.
- Apply BIM execution plans, standards, templates, and workflows consistently across projects.
- Conduct model audits and quality reviews to ensure compliance.
- Identify coordination risks and workflow gaps and communicate them to project teams.
- Perform clash detection and coordination reviews using approved tools.
- Track coordination issues through to resolution.
- Support coordination meetings and model exchange processes aligned with project timelines.
- Provide hands-on BIM support and troubleshooting to project teams.
- Assist with modeling workflows and coordination tools.
- Offer targeted coaching where needed.
- Work collaboratively with consultants, discipline leads, and Design Technology resources.
- Support the implementation and effective use of BIM collaboration platforms and digital delivery tools.
- Identify opportunities to improve coordination efficiency and enhance project workflows.
- Identify recurring coordination and model challenges.
- Support the refinement of BIM standards and workflows.
- Contribute to informal learning opportunities that strengthen team capability.
- Escalate significant risks where appropriate.
Requirements
- Diploma or degree in Architecture, Architectural Technology, Engineering Technology, or a related discipline.
- 3–5 years of BIM coordination experience supporting active design projects.
- Advanced proficiency in Revit.
- Strong understanding of BIM standards and coordination workflows.
- Experience supporting clash detection, model exchanges, and issue resolution.
- Detail-oriented with a proactive, problem-solving mindset.
- Comfortable troubleshooting BIM and workflow challenges in live project environments.
- Ability to communicate technical guidance clearly to help project staff adopt consistent BIM practices.
