About the Role

This advanced researcher role is based in the Center for Precision Medicine for High-Risk Pediatric Cancer. The individual will lead the scientific work of the Synovial Sarcoma registry and biorepository, overseeing biospecimen use, expanding registry sites, and integrating clinical, imaging, and pathologic data under the mentorship of a principal investigator.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct research of significant scientific value in basic or translational science
  • Develop and execute research projects independently in consultation with the PI
  • Plan and manage research projects within federal and institutional regulations
  • Collaborate with researchers and external agencies to develop cooperative initiatives
  • Train technical staff, students, fellows, and physicians in lab procedures
  • Review manuscripts for peer-reviewed journals
  • Assist in developing high-quality publications for scientific journals
  • Assist in composing and submitting grant and contract funding applications
  • Manage research funds appropriately
  • Supervise students or other research staff

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree
  • At least nine years of directly relevant scientific lab experience
  • Annual influenza vaccine for employees in patient care buildings or with patient-facing responsibilities

  • $83,700.00 - $106,700.00
