About the Role

The Relationship Account Manager (RAM) role focuses on sustaining long-term partnerships with mature MongoDB customers, driving retention and expansion. You will act as the primary point of contact for a customer portfolio, responsible for their success, education, enablement, upsell/cross-sell, and renewals.

Responsibilities

  • Act as the primary and often sole point of contact for a customer portfolio.
  • Be responsible for customer success, education, enablement, upsell/cross-sell, and renewals.
  • Work as a strategic advisor to the customer, aligning with their MongoDB initiatives, internal processes, bottlenecks, and corporate strategy.
  • Proactively prospect, identify, qualify, and build relationships with additional contacts across your customer base to ensure multi-threading in accounts.
  • Negotiate renewals and growth opportunities, executing the MongoDB sales process to protect and expand the renewal base.
  • Promote the implementation of MongoDB features during every customer touchpoint using playbooks, product signals, and other relevant data points to expand the MongoDB footprint.
  • Leverage data signals and proactive outreach to identify and address potential risk within your portfolio.
  • Partner closely with MongoDB executives, product managers, and leadership to achieve positive customer outcomes.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of quota-carrying experience in Account Management, Business Development, Sales, or a similarly customer-centric role.
  • Proven track record of overachievement and hitting sales targets.
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present to diverse audiences.
  • Background and passion for driving value and growth with customers via virtual meetings (enablement sessions, strategy meetings, business reviews, etc.).
  • Demonstrated ability to articulate the value of complex enterprise technology.
  • A mind for technology with an aptitude and curiosity to learn about MongoDB and databases.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • High levels of organization and attention to detail; ownership of customer situations through resolution.
  • Team player with a passion for collaboration, working with customers requiring alignment across Professional Services, Tech Services, Marketing, etc.
