About the Role
The Designer provides essential design and technical support to the project team, working under the guidance of intermediate and senior staff to develop project designs and complete various project phases.
Responsibilities
- Modify and prepare production drawings during the design development phase
- Assist with sourcing and product research
- Update design documents, drawings, rendered plans, and section elevations
- Develop solutions to technical and design problems using established standards
- Incorporate integrated sustainable design solutions into projects
- Assist with concept presentations and prepare graphics and design drawings
- Build models for client and project team review
- Participate in team meetings to align deliverables with design intent
- Support client presentations
- Compile data and perform fundamental design computations
- Maintain and organize the design library
- Coordinate with outside vendors
- Foster a commitment to internal and external client service
- Promote a green workplace through sustainable work practices
Requirements
- Experience designing small-to-mid-size projects
- Sketching skills
- Ability to work in a team environment and manage multiple priorities
- Ability to meet deadlines effectively
- Effective written and verbal communication and presentation skills
- Submission of resume and portfolio required
