About the Role

The Data Scientist Lead is responsible for the development, implementation, and evaluation of multiple projects simultaneously. This role involves gathering business requirements, extracting data, conducting statistical analyses, and developing system solutions. As a leader, you will mentor less-experienced analysts, manage stakeholder relationships, and ensure project alignment with organizational strategic objectives.

Responsibilities

Gather business requirements, expected outcomes, and identify pertinent data sources.
Collaborate with IT teams and subject matter experts to integrate and validate data sources.
Document business requirements, data requirements, and programming logic.
Manage projects as a lead or supporting team member.
Review processes, coding, and requirements for improvement and automation opportunities.
Query databases and design data models using industry standards.
Analyze data using statistical software and compare models using performance metrics.
Create visualizations to convey analysis results to leadership and end users.
Mentor and provide technical guidance to less-experienced analysts.
Manage intake requests and distribute work to team members.
Standardize work efforts and monitor the quality of delivered solutions.

Requirements

Bachelor's Degree in Health Informatics, Computer Science, Health Services Research, Public Health, Mathematics, Science, or a closely related field.
7-9 years of professional experience working with Epic databases, summarizing data, and reporting results.
CABOODLE-EPIC Cogito Data Warehouse certification or proficiency.
Must pass a pre-employment drug test for safety-sensitive positions.
