About the Role

The Marketing & Publicity Intern will be a key member of the HarperCollins Canada Marketing and Publicity team, gaining exposure to all stages of the publishing process and building relationships across departments. This role offers mentorship and opportunities for cross-departmental collaboration.

Responsibilities

  • Attend weekly marketing meetings
  • Perform administrative tasks as required
  • Contribute to marketing campaigns
  • Support content creation on social media channels
  • Assist with influencer mailings and requests
  • Attend weekly publicity meetings
  • Attend pitch meetings with external partners
  • Craft pitches for and assist with media campaigns
  • Complete regular weekly publicity tasks
  • Attend weekly cross-department meetings
  • Attend brainstorm and planning sessions
  • Contribute to presentations
  • Provide feedback on promotions aimed at accounts and consumers

Requirements

  • Completion of university or college education, or equivalent/relevant work experience
  • Retail and/or selling experience is an asset
  • Ability to effectively communicate and cooperate with fellow employees
  • Self-starter with the capacity to work independently
  • Must be eligible to work and be paid in Canada
