About the Role

The Associate Manager – Food & Beverage is responsible for supporting the strategic planning, development, and execution of food, beverage, and craft market operations across the C3 Presents event portfolio. This position contributes to revenue-generating activities that impact event performance and guest experience, exercising discretion and independent judgment in vendor selection, operational planning, and problem resolution.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with the Senior Manager to develop and implement food, beverage, and craft market operational strategies.
  • Evaluate operational performance and recommend improvements to enhance efficiency, service delivery, vendor performance, and profitability.
  • Participate in cross-functional planning meetings and provide operational recommendations.
  • Serve as the on-site operational lead for assigned events, addressing operational challenges and optimizing service levels.
  • Lead the recruitment, evaluation, selection, and onboarding of food and craft market vendors.
  • Research, evaluate, and recommend new vendor partnerships, product offerings, and market opportunities.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned vendors and concessionaires, resolving operational, logistical, and compliance issues.
  • Negotiate operational requirements and coordinate vendor participation.
  • Monitor vendor compliance with contractual obligations, event requirements, and operational standards.
  • Direct and oversee operational activities for assigned vendor programs, including communications, credentialing, site planning, and load-out.
  • Partner with the Food Court Manager and other stakeholders to determine vendor resource requirements.
  • Provide direction and guidance to contracted staff, vendors, and operational partners.
  • Make real-time operational decisions during event execution regarding service levels, staffing, vendor placement, and operating hours.
  • Analyze vendor sales performance, product mix, location performance, and guest demand trends.
  • Develop recommendations regarding vendor participation, product offerings, service models, and operational enhancements.
  • Assist in forecasting, budgeting, and evaluating vendor-related financial performance.
  • Prepare reports and presentations summarizing operational results, key performance indicators, and strategic recommendations.
  • Interpret and apply local permitting requirements, health department regulations, safety standards, and operational policies.
  • Coordinate vendor documentation, insurance requirements, permits, and contracts.
  • Identify operational risks and implement solutions to address compliance, safety, and business continuity concerns.
  • Collaborate with the Senior Food & Beverage Manager and Marketing teams to determine vendor representation and promotional opportunities.
  • Support the development and execution of programs that strengthen vendor partnerships and enhance guest engagement.
  • Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in food and beverage, concessions, hospitality, festival, venue, or live event operations with demonstrated responsibility for operational decision-making.
  • Experience in leading, directing, or coordinating vendors, contracted personnel, or cross-functional teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to exercise independent judgment and make sound business decisions in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong analytical, financial, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience managing vendor relationships, operational planning, compliance requirements, and event executions.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
  • Demonstrated integrity, professionalism, and sound judgement.
  • Enthusiastic, proactive, and committed to excellence with a positive and collaborative approach.
  • Flexibility in work hours and availability, including evenings and weekends, especially during major projects/events.
