About the Role

West Monroe is seeking an Advisory Architect, Data/AI due diligence to join their Technology & Experience Practice. This role will focus on technology M&A due diligence projects, partnering with other advisors and client stakeholders to deliver assessment solutions and tech advisory across various industries. The position offers the opportunity to work with cutting-edge tools and platforms within their technology M&A offering, leading strategic enterprise projects and advanced analytics due diligences.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with cross-functional teams and Transaction Services consultants to conduct holistic tech due diligence assessments for client M&A activity.
Identify growth and remediation opportunities by analyzing existing data and analytics systems, business processes, and data monetization opportunities.
Assess the technology landscape to recommend improvements for market readiness, scalability, and cost reduction to strategic investors.
Formulate strategic investment summaries, key risk mitigation analyses, and long-term technology strategies for pre- and post-close projects.
Establish the link between business strategy and data strategy to deliver impactful outcomes.
Present, interpret, and recommend work results, including developing new concepts and advances in the field.
Act as a thought leader by creating white papers and representing the organization at industry conferences.
Provide leadership and mentoring to data engineers, architects, and BI analysts.
Serve as the visible representative of the data engineering team to internal partners, external customers, and the data architect community.
Act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for data platform engineering, data strategy, and data modeling across big data projects.
Stay informed about the latest developments in cloud platforms, data platforms, databases, reporting tools, ETL/ELT, data warehousing, data hubs, data lakes, and data marts.
Demonstrate expertise in data warehousing approaches (Kimball, Inmon) and data models (dimensional schemas).
Show strong understanding of streaming and batch data transport technologies.
Exhibit experience with Data Visualization tools including PowerBI, Tableau, and Looker.
Drive new business by identifying opportunities with existing clients and liaising with appropriate leads.

Requirements

Master's/Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent relevant work experience.
Minimum 6-8+ years of hands-on professional development experience in data modeling and data design with proven implementation experience.
Consulting firm, industry, or start-up experience is preferred.
Experience with technical programming to access and extract data from diverse sources and implement large, sophisticated data models.
Experience performing complex data migration to and from disparate data systems/platforms and to/from the cloud.
Good knowledge of standard concepts, best practices, and procedures within a data warehousing and Business Intelligence (BI) environment.
Ability to provide Points of View (POV) and recommendations for cloud-native and emerging products.
Experience with proposal development, estimation, and project management (time tracking, budgeting, status reporting).
Strong sense of urgency with comfortability delivering solutions in fast-paced, dynamic environments.
Excellent critical thinking, leadership, communication, and project management skills.
Willingness to travel for out-of-town client engagements (up to 30-50% travel).
Proven success achieving in-year revenue expectations.
