About the Role

The laundry attendant is responsible for cleaning and folding soiled linen, ensuring it is clean and available for use by hotel departments. This role emphasizes guest service and maintaining hotel standards.

Responsibilities

• Clean and fold soiled linen from guest rooms and other departments.
• Sort linen by type.
• Properly load washers and dryers.
• Follow proper laundry folding and stacking procedures.
• Separate re-wash linen using proper procedures.
• Assist with monthly inventory procedures.
• Collect dirty linen from guest rooms.
• Clean linen traps from dryers.
• Perform equipment wipe down and report any malfunctions to management.
• Sweep and mop laundry floors.
• Remove trash at the end of the shift.
• Maintain a friendly, service-oriented approach in all encounters.
• Ensure linen is clean and available for use by hotel departments.
• Maintain regular attendance and adhere to scheduling needs.
• Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming, including wearing the proper uniform and nametag.
• Comply with all hotel standards and regulations for safe and efficient operations.
• Perform other duties as required.

Requirements

• Ability to effectively communicate with employees and supervisors.
• Demonstrate the ability to anticipate and solve practical problems or resolve issues.
• Individuals may need to stand as needed for an extended period of time.
• Reaching above shoulder heights, below the waist or lifting as required to file documents or store materials.
