About the Role

Forklift Operators are responsible for operating and managing industrial trucks to load, unload, and move material to and from storage areas, loading docks, and trucks.

Responsibilities

• Obtain copies of picking lists and warehouse schedules.
• Pick and stage products in designated areas.
• Operate and care for forklift in a safe manner.
• Load and unload inbound and outbound shipments.
• Verify correct quantities received and shipped.
• Inspect product/material for quality.
• Stack goods in designated locations following inventory control instructions.
• Stack empty pallets.
• Maintain forklift equipment by recharging, cleaning, oiling, and performing other necessary checks.
• Maintain daily check logs.
• Report damages and inventory discrepancies to the Warehouse Supervisor.
• Conduct daily/weekly cycle counts as assigned by the Warehouse Supervisor.
• Maintain a clean, safe work environment.

Requirements

• Must be qualified to properly operate the forklift.
• Able to stand for 8 hours.
• Comfortable with working on your feet.
• Able to lift 50lbs.
• Flexible in a fast-paced environment.
• Attention to detail is a must.
• Strong and efficient work ethic.
• Ability to learn quickly and retain new information.

Skills

• Hi-lo Experience Required
• Warehouse/Production experience - preferred
