About the Role

Provide service and support for Peak Technologies supported equipment, including installations, repair, preventative maintenance, calibration, and sales support. Maintain territory management, develop contingency plans, and drive efficiency improvements. Focus on high customer satisfaction, business growth, and positive influence.

Responsibilities

  • Promote and produce the sale of service contracts, upgrades, parts, and billable labor revenue.
  • Maintain proper and accurate inventory for service purposes and follow inventory control policies.
  • Provide accurate and timely documentation of field activity, expenses, and time reporting.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction by resolving customer/product issues and complaints.
  • Communicate service call status, ETAs, and resolution status to customers and internal stakeholders.
  • Build strong relationships with internal and external customers.
  • Develop a working knowledge of Corporate and Service Department procedures and policies.
  • Install, maintain, and repair FHE (forms handling equipment).
  • Coordinate and schedule servicing activities based on regional demands and priorities.
  • Cultivate operational excellence by challenging old methods and taking responsible risks.
  • Engage in continuous training and self-development for Peak-Ryzex products and applications.
  • Comply with all safety policies, practices, and procedures.
  • Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.

Requirements

  • Near expert level technical background in electro-mechanical devices such as printers, kiosk/ATM devices, or equivalent experience.
  • Operates within division or department policy guidelines using independent judgment.
  • Reads and interprets documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Applies common sense understanding to carry out instructions.
  • Escalates issues discovered to minimize customer disruptions.
  • Prioritizes and handles multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and maintain a safe driving record.
  • Must be able to lift 50lbs without limitations or constraints.
  • Be able to travel throughout the country.
  • Be able to perform in high pressure environments.
  • Critical physical effort consisting of continuously standing, bending, and handling equipment.

Skills

  • Strong computer skills
  • Phone application skills using Microsoft Windows based programs
  • Self-starter and motivated to perform effectively during times of high demand.
  • Ability to work from home with minimal supervision or guidance.
  • English language proficiency
  • Ability to read and interpret documents, procedure manuals and correspondence.
  • Ability to speak effectively, both individually and before groups.

  • National travel

Work Type

  • Home office
  • 90% daily travel
  • Up to 20% overnight travel

Experience Level

  • 2-4 years of equivalent work experience in field service, IT, or a similar industry

Education Level

  • Associate Degree desired
  • Certification in information technology or process improvement desired
