About the Role
Teal Health is seeking an experienced payer contracting leader to establish and manage health plan channel agreements, focusing on securing favorable in-network contracts, negotiating activation and payment models, and driving member screenings.
Responsibilities
- Win and execute in-network agreements, converting commercial plans from out-of-network to in-network.
- Bring plans live under existing national agreements, finalizing signed contracts and agreed payment models.
- Drive activation across plans by securing member data access and outreach authorization.
- Align plan quality and HEDIS incentives with closing screening gaps.
- Collaborate with integration and customer success teams on activation and post-launch account performance.
Requirements
- Proven payer contracting track record at a diagnostic or digital health company, successfully converting out-of-network to in-network agreements.
- Experience with Regional Blues contracting, including plan-level work under national agreements.
- Fluency across reimbursement models (invoice, claims, PMPM, case rates) and the ability to guide plans toward the optimal model.
- Demonstrated ability to own activation post-signature, including member data access and outreach authorization.
- Experience thriving in a Series A company environment, comfortable with ambiguity and building a new channel.
