About the Role

This unpaid internship offers students hands-on experience in collegiate athletics operations at the United States Military Academy, supporting 30 varsity programs. Interns will gain exposure to NCAA and Title IX regulations, legislative affairs, and data analytics within the Athletics Compliance department.

Responsibilities

  • Learn to understand, interpret, and apply NCAA bylaws to daily athletic operations.
  • Learn and utilize NCAA software including Eligibility Center, LSDBi, ARMS, and the NCAA Transfer Portal.
  • Assist the Army Compliance team with maintaining and updating institutional and NCAA databases.
  • Participate in educational sessions with staff and cadet-athletes from 30 varsity athletic programs.
  • Help generate educational materials and benchmarking data to support the department's mission.

Requirements

  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Must be a current college student, graduate student, or law student, or enrolled by September 2026 and provide proof of enrollment.
  • Strong interest in college athletics administration, sports law, or education compliance.
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize in a multi-task setting.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills, with strong listening abilities.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a professional, team-oriented environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Comfortable with online research.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays based on event schedules.
  • Demonstrate initiative, reliability, and a positive attitude.
