About the Role
Empower Me is seeking dynamic, community-driven, team players to promote and implement an energy savings program designed for multi-lingual communities in the GTHA region. Energy Mentors are selected based on their roles and influence within these communities and will be trained to help their community reduce energy usage and improve home safety, health, and comfort.
Responsibilities
- Conduct workshops with community groups online and in person
- Promote the Empower Me program within your community
- Plan and attend community events as a representative of Empower Me
- Report on relevant experiences working as an Energy Mentor
- Maintain accurate records through data entry and record keeping
Requirements
- Native speakers of a language other than English, fluent in English
- Weekday daytime availability
- Connections to community groups and associations in the GTHA
- Comfortable with public speaking and giving presentations
- Computer literate (Word, Excel, Email, Data entry)
- Excellent English skills – speak, read and write
- Able to work independently with little supervision
- Must have own transportation with valid driver’s license
